Name Penmanship
The friends carefully traced their names out with our special grippy pencils for the over of our community helpers book
Family Drawings
We sending a special surprise package in the mail to our grandparents. The friends put to use their graphics practice skills and drew themselves with their grandparents to be sent with the package
Cohen Gadol
We learned about a holy Jewish community worker, called the cohen gadol, who worked in the beit hamikdash. We had fun adding that page to our community helpers book and putting on the cohen gadol costume by circle time.
Visiting Firefighters
We bundled up and went to greet some community workers-firefighters! They taught us about their jobs and special clothes they wear. Then, whoever wanted got a turn to sit in the front of the fire truck and we ended off this special visit with a card and donuts for these brave community workers.
Tu B’Shvat
Happy birthday trees! We started off this week with celebrating Tu B’Shvat. We examined different textures found in nature, forming patterns with those objects, and built with wooden logs from real trees, making tree houses. Our sensory table had us playing with our “flower soup” and learning about the parts of a flower. During snack time, we put on the Tu B’Shvat crowns we crafted and enjoyed the fruit kebabs we each made for this special, fun filled day.
