Inspired Art

Image
We each completed an art piece inspired by a painting from contemporary Jewish artist, Yitzchak Moully. We saw how he made bold, bright lines of light coming out of the Shabbat candles and then used that inspiration to make our own vivid pieces.

Snack Time Visitor

Our class window has a special bird feeder which led to a very special visitor by snack time! Morah found out what species of bird came to have snack with us and we learned a bit about the Carpodacus bird

Hands-on Shabbat

Our Shabbat exploration took us through many hands-on activities. We used droppers to add wine to our kiddish cup, made fluffy challah with playdough and practiced braiding, and played fun memory games with our friends

Counting Shabbat

We’re increasing our number recognition and counting skills and having fun with Shabbat, too!

Letter tracing

This week we learned all about Shabbat, our favorite day of the week! We used stickers to trace the word Shabbat in Hebrew and strengthened our pre writing skills.

Matman

We worked on our fine motor skills and made beautiful fall creations by threading colorful string through cardboard leaves.
