Last week we did a science experiment exploring the effects of salt content in water. Just like in the Dead Sea, when the water is highly salinated, object float in. We saw up close how our egg floated in the salt water and sank in the pure water.
We learned the story of Rabbi Akiva being inspired to learn how to read when he saw the steady effect of water that was dripping onto a rock. We had a great time learning and interacting with our rock centers
We prepared for a special day happening later in the week by making crowns for Israel’s birthday. We saw how the star on flag can be made with two triangles and practiced making the magen David.
Happy birthday Israel! We had a fun filled yom haatzmaut (independence day) and all got a ticket to take a flight together to Israel where we had an indoor picnic for snack time
Happy Earth Day. We planted veggies and flower and painted Israel themed rocks and set them outside to beautify the world we were blessed with. We also learned how to take care of the plants on our classroom and will each have a turn to water them.
