We made special envelopes for the mitzvah notes we will be getting. On the front is a beautiful Torah with a crown because it is given to us straight from Hashem and very important.  

We introduced Matman, a prewriting skills and self portrait program we’ll be working on this year. We recognized that the curved wooden pieces can be different parts of our faces and we each got a chance to look in the mirror and form the features we saw out of the wooden pieces. Then, Morah gave us pencils with special grip holders so we could replicate our wooden faces through drawing.  

 We learned all about the special outdoor place we build for Sukkot, a sukkah. We each build our own model of a sukkah using different materials and also used colored popsicle sticks to work on our patterns and make colorful walls for our sukkah. As a special treat, we went outside to a real sukkah for snack and a Sukkot book.

We continue to have lots of fun playing and learning with our wonderful class family in the classroom and beyond!
