Experiment time!

To close out the week, we did a fun science experiment! Filling plastic bags with Crisco to imitate blubber, the kids stuck their hands in the bags and then in bowls of ice to see the way blubber protects animals such as whales and seals from the cold. Ask your kids about how it felt to put their blubber-covered hand in the ice water versus their bare hand!
