Learning about the senses: touch and sight
This week, our main topic was about the five senses, and specifically we discussed touch and sight. For touch, the kids took painted toilet paper rolls and attached items with different sensations (such as rough burlap, fuzzy felt, bumpy bubble wrap) and talked about how they all felt to us.
For sight, the kids drew rainbows to be wrapped around other toilet paper rolls, and then attached cellophane to the end with sequins to make a kaleidoscope! They also had a lot of fun looking at slides through a view finder, and then talking about all the different things they saw.
