Preparing our plates of food

As we talked about different kinds of foods this week (namely, dairy and meat), the kids created their own materials to make meals involving these foods! They painted card stock with brown paint, making designs so everyone’s paper looked different! This brown, textured paper was then cut up to be used as crust for our pizzas (for the diary) and meatballs for our plates of spaghetti (for, of course, the meat)! They also all cut up green and white paper to add cheese and veggies to their pizzas, depending on their tastes.

Paper plates were also painted red in order to act as the sauce of the pizzas and the spaghetti. We had to wait for these all to dry in order to put together our foods, but the kids were excited to do so!
