A love of rainbows Part 2: making backgrounds

Since coloring those rainbows was such a big hit, all of the kids wanted to do a second one (and, for some, a third and a forth and a fifth and…). Instead of hanging these ones up like the others, we let the kids create backgrounds (using either water colors or sponges to dot patterns) and then, once they were dry, had the kids glue their rainbows down!

Much like the rainbows, the kids were eager to try both versions of mediums for their backgrounds, so we’ve got a good amount of extras of those too, that I suppose will need to find a home in some way 😆
