Apple Orchard Dramatic Play
This apple orchard shop has been a hit in our classroom! In preparation for Rosh Hashanah, our school is filled with apples and we have enjoyed stepping into the roles of shopkeeper and customers. We are learning so much and having fun at the same time!
By engaging in regular dramatic play (aka make-believe or imaginative pretend play) children are developing their cognitive and social skills. During dramatic play children are learning how to negotiate, cooperate, and navigate group dynamics. This kind of play can be an outlet for preschool students who typically do not have much control in real life situations. Dramatic play allows children to control the narrative and the outcome.
