Lacing Activity

One of the first lacing activities of the school year, our focus is simply on building fine motor skills. They are not asked to go through the holes in any particular order, simply lace the yarn through the holes. Lacing builds focus and concentration as well as fine motor skills. It is also a basic way to work on bilateral coordination, a skill which as it develops allows you to use both sides of your body in controlled manner.
